The henhouse and the goat shed are not an attraction tacked on to the campsite. The animals live here and are simply part of what makes Mesqueau what it is.
The goats have their own enclosure. You may come across the hens roaming freely in parts of the Domaine.
Watching doesn’t mean feeding.
Guests must never give food or bread to the animals. Their feeding is handled by the team.
The animals’ peace and safety come before the holiday snap.
Visitors watch them from outside. Entry is for supervised activities only.
The hens wander around the Domaine. Watch them go by and give them space.
A few simple rules are all it takes to keep them at ease.
Approach without running, shouting or chasing the animals.
Children remain the responsibility of the adults with them.
Entry is not allowed outside organised activities.
No bread, leftovers or food brought from your accommodation.
Pets must not go into the enclosures or the vegetable garden.
During an activity, the activity leader’s instructions come first.
The vegetable garden brings together herbs, heritage varieties and edible flowers. It shows the diversity of living things, the rhythm of the seasons and simple ways of growing differently.
Information boards present the plants, their history, their uses and when they are harvested. No plant may be picked without permission.

Food waste goes into the bin provided. The team then sorts what is suitable for the animals and what goes on the compost.
Guests put permitted food waste in the labelled container.
The team separates what is suitable for feeding the animals from what needs composting.
Useful material goes back into the Domaine’s natural cycle instead of ending up with general waste.
Visits and feeding times may be organised as part of the kids’ club. The activity is supervised, places are limited and groups take turns so that more children can join in.
The exact programme depends on the season and on the animals’ wellbeing.
Access: only as part of the supervised activity
Sign-up: according to the kids’ club programme
