Terms and conditions

In the event of any discrepancy between the language versions, the French version shall prevail.

• A booking becomes effective only once the deposit has been received and either the duly completed and signed booking contract has been received or the terms and conditions have been accepted when booking online.
• If the customer fails to pay the deposit at the time of booking or the balance no later than 30 days before the start date of the stay, the campsite reserves the right to cancel the booking and to offer the accommodation for rent again.
• Bookings are binding on Domaine de Mesqueau only once they have been accepted by the management of Domaine de Mesqueau, which is free to accept or refuse them depending on availability and, more generally, on any circumstances likely to hinder the performance of the booking made. Domaine de Mesqueau offers family-oriented holidays, in the traditional sense, and its accommodation is specially designed for this purpose. The management of Domaine de Mesqueau reserves the right to refuse any booking that would be contrary to this principle or that would seek to circumvent it.
• The booking of a camping pitch or a rental is strictly personal. You may under no circumstances sublet or transfer your booking without the prior consent of the management of Domaine de Mesqueau.
• Minors must be accompanied by their parents or legal guardians.
• Requests for a specific pitch or accommodation unit can only be met according to our availability on the day of your arrival.

Camping pitch

• The basic package includes the pitch for the tent or caravan for 1 or 2 people, 1 vehicle, and access to the toilet and shower blocks and reception facilities. Motorhomes, campervans, converted vehicles (car, van, lorry) and twin-axle caravans are not permitted anywhere on the Domaine.
• The number of people on a pitch is limited to 6. The campsite reserves the right to refuse access to groups or families arriving with more participants than stated in the contract.

Rental accommodation

• All rental accommodation has a shower, WC and kitchen area and is equipped with a fridge, hob, cooking utensils, crockery, duvet and pillow.
• The basic package is for 1 to 6 people depending on the type of rental chosen. The package includes water, gas, electricity, access to the reception facilities, activities and the pool area.
• Domaine de Mesqueau reserves the right to refuse access to the accommodation to groups or families arriving with more participants than the capacity of the rented accommodation.
• All our rentals are located in pedestrian areas. Car access is not permitted, even for loading or unloading.
• Pitching a tent on mobile home or cottage plots is not permitted.
• Smoking is prohibited in the rental accommodation.

• Any booking of more than 2 accommodation units or pitches by the same natural person, or by different natural persons who know each other and travel together for the same purpose on the same dates, is considered a group.
• The accommodation and pitches offered on the online booking website are intended exclusively for individual customers.
• For any group booking request, you must contact Domaine de Mesqueau by telephone on +33 2 98 67 37 45 or by e-mail: info@mesqueau.com. The management of Domaine de Mesqueau reserves the right to examine the booking request before accepting or refusing it.

• The prices shown are valid for the current season. Our prices are dynamic and subject to change according to supply and demand. The contractual price is always the price set at the time of booking. No refund will be made if prices subsequently fall, and no supplement will be charged if they rise.
• Our prices include VAT. The VAT applicable to our accommodation and pitch rental prices is 10%, subject to regulatory changes.
• Tourist taxes and the household waste contribution are not included in our prices. For information, in 2025, the tourist tax is €0.61 per night per adult. The household waste contribution is €0.50 per night per person.
• The booking fee for rentals and bare pitches is €15.
• Additional charges (extra person, extra vehicle, pets) are not included in the package and will be added to it. Tourist taxes and the household waste contribution are not included in our prices.
• Accepted methods of payment: cash, cheque, bank card (Carte Bleue, Visa, MasterCard), Chèques-Vacances holiday vouchers, bank transfer. Payments by cheque are not accepted less than 30 days before your arrival.
• Last-minute bookings: any booking made less than 30 days before the arrival date must be paid in full and by bank card only.

• For bookings made more than 30 days before the start of the stay, a deposit of 30% of the amount of the services booked must be paid at the time of booking. The balance must be paid no later than 30 days before the start date of the stay.
• For bookings made less than 30 days before the start date of the stay, full payment must be made at the time of booking (30% deposit + balance of the stay).
• If the customer fails to pay the deposit at the time of booking or the balance no later than 30 days before the start date of the stay, the campsite reserves the right to cancel the booking and to offer the accommodation for rent again.

In accordance with Article L.221-28 of the French Consumer Code, Domaine de Mesqueau informs its customers that the sale of accommodation services provided on a specific date or for a specific period is not subject to the provisions on the 14-day withdrawal period.

• Changes to your booking: the customer may request changes to their stay (dates, type of accommodation, options) by written request to the campsite (post or e-mail), subject to the campsite’s availability and possibilities.
• No postponement to the following season will be accepted. If no change is possible, the customer must take their stay under the original booking conditions or cancel it under the terms of the cancellation insurance. No refund of the difference paid will be made.
• Any request to extend your stay will be handled subject to availability and at the prices in force.
• Any request to shorten your stay is considered a partial cancellation and will be subject to the terms for cancellation and interruption of stay.

Unused services

• If a stay is interrupted or shortened for one of the following reasons: administrative closure of the campsite, closure of borders by administrative decision, travel restricted to a certain number of kilometres by administrative decision preventing travel to the campsite, the campsite will issue a credit voucher for the amount corresponding to the unused nights, valid for two years. If the customer refuses this credit voucher, they will be refunded, on request, the corresponding amount, less the cost of the cancellation insurance if it was taken out. Apart from the reasons mentioned above, any stay interrupted or shortened (late arrival, early departure) by the customer will not give rise to a refund or a credit voucher.

Cancellation by the campsite

• If the campsite cancels, except in cases of force majeure, the sums paid for the booking will be refunded in full. This cancellation will not, however, give rise to the payment of damages.

Cancellation by the camper

• If the camper cancels, the following cancellation and refund conditions apply. Any cancellation request must be sent by post to the postal address of the campsite, Domaine de Mesqueau, or by e-mail. Cancellations made by telephone cannot be taken into account. Any cancellation terminates the booking, and the campsite reserves the right to offer the accommodation for rent again.
• Cancellation up to 31 days before the start of the stay: the 30% deposit on the price of the stay + the booking fee + any cancellation insurance taken out will be retained by the campsite as cancellation charges.
• Cancellation less than 31 (thirty) days before your arrival: all sums paid will be retained by the campsite. No refund will be made. If the customer does not arrive at the campsite within two days of the start date of their stay without having informed the campsite in advance by post or e-mail, the booking will be considered cancelled by the customer. The campsite therefore reserves the right to offer the accommodation for rent again.
• If the stay is cancelled, any amount paid in Chèques-Vacances holiday vouchers cannot be refunded, in accordance with Article L.112-14 I. of the French Monetary and Financial Code.
• If the camper cancels having taken out the cancellation guarantee, the sums paid are covered by the guarantee in accordance with its general cancellation conditions. If the reason is not covered by the cancellation insurance or if the claim is refused by the insurer, the terms and conditions described above apply and the cost of the cancellation insurance will be deducted from the sums paid in the event of cancellation.

Cancellation guarantee and insurance

• For your peace of mind, our campsite offers cancellation insurance that allows you to be refunded the sums paid in the event of cancellation: 70% without supporting documents, but with a mandatory reason. This reason must correspond to an unforeseen event, that is, an unforeseeable event beyond your control that occurs by chance (examples: sudden illness, vehicle breakdown on the journey, unexpected family incident), or 100% with supporting documents.
• If this insurance has not been taken out, no refund can be made by the campsite.

Arrival

• Arrivals take place exclusively between 3pm and 6pm. No keys can be handed over and no access to the pitch can be given outside reception opening hours. Domaine de Mesqueau does not allow late arrivals: you must therefore plan your arrival within the time slot provided.
• On the day of your arrival at Domaine de Mesqueau, you will be welcomed from 3pm. For rental accommodation, a €300 security deposit by bank card or in cash will be requested when the keys are handed over. Security deposits by cheque are not accepted. A €50 card security deposit applies to camping pitches.
• On arrival, you must carry out the check-in inspection of your rental and check the inventory. You must return the completed and signed inspection form to reception no later than the morning after your arrival. To avoid any misunderstanding, report any anomaly to reception. No complaint made afterwards can be taken into account. We will check the inventory when you leave.

During your stay

• Campers are responsible for their own insurance: the camper is responsible for looking after their personal belongings (bicycles, etc.). The campsite accepts no liability for any incident falling under the camper’s civil liability.
• All customers must comply with the site rules displayed at the campsite reception. In the event of a breach of these rules, the campsite management may terminate the contract on its own initiative.
• Children must always be supervised by their parents.
• Children are not allowed in the campsite’s swimming pools unless accompanied by an adult.
• Visitors must report to reception and pay an entrance fee of €2 per person. Visits are allowed between 10am and 7pm; visitors do not have access to the campsite’s swimming pools.
• Each named tenant is responsible for any disturbance or nuisance caused by the people staying with them or visiting them.

Departure

• Rental accommodation: on the departure date stated in your contract, the rental accommodation must be vacated before 10am. Camping pitches must be vacated before noon.
• The accommodation must be returned perfectly clean and the inventory will be checked; any broken or damaged item will be charged to you, as will any necessary restoration of the premises. These conditions also apply to camping pitches.
• The security deposit will be returned within 7 days of your departure, less any amounts withheld, on presentation of supporting invoices, for any damage noted during the check-out inspection. Withholding the security deposit does not preclude additional compensation if the costs exceed its amount.
• If the accommodation has not been cleaned before your departure, a cleaning charge of at least €80 including VAT will be requested.
• For any late departure, an additional day may be charged at the current nightly rate.

Only dogs and cats are accepted, with the exception of 1^st and 2^nd category dogs, subject to the following conditions:

• A maximum of two animals per rental or pitch is allowed.
• A fee is payable at the time of booking.
• Other animals (rodents, birds, etc.) are not accepted.
• Animals must be kept on a lead at all times.
• They are not allowed near the swimming pools, in food shops or inside buildings.
• Dogs’ and cats’ vaccination records must be up to date.
• Animals must not be left alone in the accommodation or allowed on the beds.
• A cleaning and disinfection charge may be applied if the rental or pitch is not returned perfectly clean.

• You authorise Domaine de Mesqueau, and any person Domaine de Mesqueau may wish to appoint in its place, to photograph, record or film you during your stay at Domaine de Mesqueau and to use these images, sounds, videos and recordings on any medium (in particular on the websites or web pages of Domaine de Mesqueau – including Facebook and Instagram –, on Domaine de Mesqueau’s presentation and promotional materials, and in travel or tourist guides).

This authorisation applies both to you and to the people staying with you. Its sole purpose is to promote and enliven the establishment, and it may in no way harm your reputation. This authorisation is granted free of charge, for all countries and for a period of 5 years.

• Any complaint regarding the non-conformity of the services with the contractual commitments may be reported by post or e-mail to the management of Domaine de Mesqueau.
• In accordance with Article L.612-1 of the French Consumer Code, every customer of the campsite has the right to use a consumer mediator free of charge with a view to the amicable resolution of any dispute with the campsite operator.
